Useful advices
If you have already installed your REHAU windows, you shouldn't have any more concerns about your joinery. In this connection we would like to give you several useful advices in order to keep it in excellent state for a very long time:
Ventilation:
The main advantage of REHAU windows is that they close very tightly and in this way save a significant amount of heat. However, for avoiding the negative effects you should take measures to prevent condensation and stuffy air. How to do it?
- We recommend you opening the windows for a short time two or three times a day even in the winter. This will preserve heat losing and is much better than leaving the window slightly opened during the whole day.
- Every morning it is necessary to open your windows for at least 20 min. for a main air ventilation of all rooms. If you have opposite windows, please open them for the quick change of the stuffy air.
- During the day opening the windows for 5 min is quite enough for allowing some fresh air to come in.
First cleaning:
If there are scraps of dirt left during the installation and assembling on the surface of the window you should remove them very attentively only with water and a cleaning liquid. It is important to check whether there is left limestone between the gaskets and the glass packet and if there is, please remove it.
Maintenance:
In fact, your new windows do not need any special maintenance. If after a time you decide to refresh them and remove some stains or even grease spots you can use a cleaning liquid. You should not use chemicals based on acetone or diluents, because they are aggressive and can harm the window frames as well as the rubber gaskets. For maintenance of the hinges and the other rolling parts it is enough to lubricate them two times a year and everything will work smoothly.
